GraniteCrete Paving Materials

GraniteCrete offers a superior paving solution, whether for a small residential project, a commercial application, or a large municipal project. GraniteCrete Admixture is available in five earth-tone colors :
  • Natural Gold
  • Sonora Adobe
  • Desert Sand
  • Ash Grey
  • Carmel Coast
GraniteCrete Admixture can be purchased by the pallet or by the bag through our retailers:
  • 85lb. bags
  • 40 bags per pallet
  • 13 pallets per truckload
We recommend using two bags per cubic yard for residential installations, and three bags per cubic yard for commercial installations. We have a paving materials estimator to help you estimate how much GraniteCrete and decomposed granite you will need. There are three recommended methods for mixing GraniteCrete with decomposed granite when installing GraniteCrete. The best method to use depends on the size of the installation. Get more information about these methods on our installation equipment page.

Decomposed Granite

GraniteCrete combines 3/8” minus decomposed granite with our proprietary GraniteCrete Admixture. You can obtain suitable decomposed granite from our retailers or direct from GraniteCrete.

Custom Colors

You can design your own proprietary custom color based on our color charts. We can also match many earth-tone colors so that your GraniteCrete color perfectly complements your project. Your proprietary custom color will be retained on file and can be mixed again for future additions or projects. This offer is available for installations 2,000 square feet or larger.

Additionally, often custom colors that match your site can be achieved by mixing materials excavated from the site into the mix. This process can make your project even more sustainable and save hauling costs by reducing the waste product that must be hauled away. This method was used on the Marin Headlands project to create a custom color, with great results.

GraniteCrete derives its color from organic pigments, which naturally limits the colors that can be achieved. GraniteCrete’s technical team will advise you if your custom color can be achieved.  View our color chart here.

Permanent

GraniteCrete looks like decomposed granite, but it stays in place – no erosion, spreading , no maintenance.  Small cracks self-heal with the fines from the GraniteCrete surface.

Permeable

GraniteCrete allows water to pass through at over an inch per hour– reducing runoff, aiding groundwater reservoirs, all while providing 13 LEED points.

Natural

When installed, GraniteCrete is mostly decomposed granite, a natural stone, with a proprietary binder that acts like cement – no leaching, no added chemicals.  And GraniteCrete provides a natural look – like a DG path but it stays where you put it!
